The Long Haul Bed is GUNNER’s premium kennel bed engineered for dogs that spend serious time on the road. Developed for nearly three years to create a more durable, more comfortable and waterproof resting place from driveway to destination. Built for maximum recovery.

It starts at the base. A non-skid 900D TPU bottom keeps the bed locked in place — no shifting, no bunching, no adjusting in the dark before a 4am drive. The durable Oxford top fabric is built for claws, movement, and the kind of repeat use that destroys lesser beds. Backed by a water and tear-resistant finish, it's ready for whatever your dog brings into the kennel.

The Long Haul Bed is sealed at every seam that matters. A premium YKK AquaGuard zipper — the gold standard in waterproof closures — keeps the cover clean and protected. PFAS-free coating. Anti-mold and anti-mildew construction.

No Foam. Actual Recovery.
The Long Haul Bed uses a 3D loop bed core instead of traditional foam — designed specifically for maximum recovery between hard days. 100% non-toxic and formaldehyde-free. Safe, resilient, and engineered to hold its shape through repeated compression without breaking down over time.

Care

Cleaning Instructions:

  • Disassembles and reassembles in seconds with thoughtful construction, abrasion-tested materials & dual heavy-duty zippers.
  • Cover: Spot clean first. If you need a more thorough clean, machine wash on cold in a gentle cycle. Air dry strongly suggested, but can be tumble dried (on low!) if in a pinch.
  • Core: Simply hose off and let air dry.

Good To Know:
The Long Haul Bed is made with durable Oxford top fabric built for claws, movement, and repeat use and a non-skid 900D TPU base, but nothing is 100% "chew proof." This product may not be suitable for dogs who chew, those with anxiety and/or teething puppies.

Not good for anxious dogs

"My girl enjoyed the bed for about 2/3 uses before digging and ultimately shredding the mattress while being in her kennel with it. Was a let down honestly as the crate is built for dogs who dig and act crazy in crates so it would’ve made more sense for the bed to be a bit more durable under those conditions… especially for the price :/"

My Dog Chewed a hole on the first Use

"I priivously had another Kennel bed from gunner and it lasted a long time. This new one i bought did not last one day. I first use and my dog was able to bite and make a hole on the Bed. I still have my original bed, which is still solid to use, it seems to be better quality. My dog have not been able to chew through it for over 3 years."

Love the color and material

"Love the color and material of the orthopedic kennel bed. My only comment is that it does slide around quite a bit in my gunner kennel when driving since the material on the bottom is the same as the top and thus slips around a bit in the crate."

Recommendations on drying the memory foam insert if it does get wet?
Hey! We recommend taking it out of the cover, setting it out in an open, well ventilated area, and letting it air dry.
I've had the bed for a year, and I never took a look at the foam, it seems to have clear, light and dark brown pebbles is this normal? I've never seen memory foam like this.

What are the dimensions of the Orthopedic pads? It's not listed on the site.
Hey! The Orthopedic beds are designed to specifically fit our kennels. They will have the same dimensions as the interior footprint of the kennel. It will ultimately depend on which size kennel you are purchasing.
Is there anyway to clean the padding inside the orthopedic bed? I wash the outside cover and let it air dry. I can’t find how to get the smell out of the padding that the bed is made out of. Does anyone know how to take care of this problem ?
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble cleaning your Orthopedic Bed. I might suggest spraying a mixture of vinegar and water on the foam itself to deodorize it and then let it air dry. We have had a lot of customers do this to remove strong odors on their dog beds without using harsh chemicals. You can also spot clean this foam insert like you would with a carpet with a carpet cleaner. The memory foam is not waterproof so you won't want it to get too wet
If my dog has a potty accident, is the pad waterproof?
