Reviews

I was headed out to

"I was headed out to South Texas Dove Hunting. A Severe Thunderstorm was approaching. I pulled over on I-10 and put flaps down. It rained and hailed for about 30 minutes before exiting the storm. I pulled off to check on Ruby. She was dry and comfortable. This Weather Kit is a MUST when traveling not Only in Winter Weather Conditions but in the South where thunderstorms are regular. Craig Chambless/Chambless Game Totes LLC"

— Craig C. (5/5)

Outstanding customer support and retention!!

"Gunner replaced my 1st All Weather Kit. The new iteration has beefier Velcro that is is supposed to have higher UV resistance after years of the TX sun led to the straps weakening and tearing off. Gunner had no issue replacing the kit under warranty. So while the prices may seem high, when factoring in the total value and the cost of ownership especially when they replace a part that was a few years old with no questions asked, I think the value is truly there. I expect many more years of service from the kennel and accessories that provide a safe and comfortable kennel for my Duck Getter to travel in."

— Scott H. (5/5)

Just had to warranty it

"The straps broke like on the 1. 0. The version I had was prefeinforced straps so hopefully the new one does better. It’s held up great outside the Velcro Straps for the windows."

— Sam s. (2/5)

Great product but needs a change

"Great product. Install was easy. Keeps my dog comfortable in 4 season weather. The Velcro straps that keep the sides rolled up have all broken due to UV exposure. Gotta rethink that retention design. The rest of the material has zero issue going on 3 years."

— Jason (4/5)

I’m not smart, but a little help would be nice

"There were zero instructions. I’m not sure if the fabric on the handles are supposed to go through the slots in cover or they are supposed to be on top with the screws through the slots. I put the handles through and the screws beneath. I’m not a very smart person so good chance I did it wrong"

— Derek M. (5/5)

"Great durability and easy assembly. Love this product!!"

— Trinity (5/5)

Works for rain

Q&A

What is the warranty on the all weather kit 2.0 ? My velcro roll up flap keepers have come apart.
Hey! Shoot our CX team at info@gunner.com some pictures of the All-Weather kit and they will be happy to help you with this!
Can you use this cover on the early model Gunnar kennels?
Hey! Yes, our All Weather kit can be used with any kennel that we have ever released. Just be sure that the sizes match.
I have a G1 Medium kennel. It seems to have a different window design than those shown on your web site. It has squarish window's, two per side, whereas your site shows vertical slits. Will the weather kit fit my style of kennel?
Hey! Yes, we do offer an All Weather specifically for the G1™ Medium. It will work with the design of the G1™ Medium kennels.
Does this crate comply with IATA for transporting pets?
Our G1™ does meet airline requirements, provided that you follow certain guidelines that pertain to consumer requirements (i.e. ""live pet"" label, accessible water and food containers, weight limit and size compliant, etc.) that are the responsibility of the pet owner. We can say that we have had plenty of customers who have successfully transported their dogs through airlines using GUNNER but we have also had customers turned away due to the weight of the kennel + dog. I'll include a link here with more information on air travel with the G1™: https://help.gunner.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055515551-Is-the-G1-crate-airline-approved-good-for-airplanes- We always recommend confirming with whatever your airline you are traveling with, regardless, as each has its own set of specifications.
Is there a way to use a size Medium kit on a size Small kennel? Looking at it it feels like I could do it and just cinch it down more, but not sure if I'm missing something.
Due to the size difference between the G1™ Small and Medium, the All Weather kit for the Medium will not work properly on the Small. Even tightening it down will still allow the elements to get into the kennel.
