Good to Know

This pad is sewn with the same Kevlar thread used to make bullet proof vests and ensures maximum seam strength for maximum tear resistance.

To clean your Orthopedic Bed, view our care instructions here.

Observe your dog's behavior before purchase for chewing, as some items may not be appropriate for your K9. The dog beds are hand-crafted with Kevlar thread (the same material used to sew bulletproof vests), providing a 5x stronger seam strength than any other dog bed out there. That being said nothing is 100% "chew proof" and this product may not be suitable for dogs who chew, those with anxiety and/or teething puppies.

Description

Our American Made premium orthopedic dog pad is designed with a 1680 Denier-Rated ballistic nylon and a 2" cooling memory foam, allowing for maximum recuperation and for dogs' pressure points to rest comfortably above the kennel's rotomolded surface.

The 2-inches of Pure Core Support Foam and True Cool Memory Foam keep your dog at optimal temperature, and ensures the materials doesn't break down or dip for excellent support of the whole body.

Comfy and Cozy

"Added comfort with the long hauls to and from training. Gunner has come through with a great product. Highly recommended for piece of mind. Traveling with security and confidence. Truly grateful, Thank You"

Great Kennel Bed

"I decided my special girl needed a comfortable kennel bed to ride on during our long journey from TN to ND and back. She's carrying some special cargo (pups!) and I want to make sure she is comfy during our journey. Everything's a bit dusty here, but otherwise all is good! Thanks, Gunner!"

— Lisa J. (5/5)

Kennel bed

"My Boykin spaniel loves it. Just what she needed"

— J.D. M. (5/5)

Perfect addition to the GUNNER kennel

"I love this bed for my GUNNER kennels, I have 2 for both of my dog and it's so nice to have. It's been nice to have in the summer because it's lightweight and doesn't make my dogs hot at all. And of course it's a perfect fit and very easy to clean. So it really has it all, can't recommend it enough!"

— Kalley W. (5/5)

Creature of Comfort

"Our GSP is a spoiled pup who loves a soft place to lie down, so adding this Otho Kennel Bed to his Gunner has certainly provided some comfort for our pup's travel. Not only is he safe in there, but he is also comfortable."

— brad h. (5/5)

Great comfort

"Bed fits GREAT in my intermediate. Does not fit well for large. my Pup that is normally in the intermediate has been in the large recently and it keeps sliding to the side. I love the intermediate size, but not a big fan of large"

— NOAH G. (4/5)

"The orthopedic kennel bed is exceptionally well made and fit the Gunner G1 crate perfectly! Our pup, Bodhi, loves it, and so do we!"

— Janet (5/5)

Q&A

Recommendations on drying the memory foam insert if it does get wet?
Hey! We recommend taking it out of the cover, setting it out in an open, well ventilated area, and letting it air dry.
I've had the bed for a year, and I never took a look at the foam, it seems to have clear, light and dark brown pebbles is this normal? I've never seen memory foam like this.
Hey! Our memory foam is charcoal infused so those little spots you are seeing is that charcoal. Please reach out of to our CX team at info@gunner.com if you have any other questions.
What are the dimensions of the Orthopedic pads? It's not listed on the site.
Hey! The Orthopedic beds are designed to specifically fit our kennels. They will have the same dimensions as the interior footprint of the kennel. It will ultimately depend on which size kennel you are purchasing.
Is there anyway to clean the padding inside the orthopedic bed? I wash the outside cover and let it air dry. I can’t find how to get the smell out of the padding that the bed is made out of. Does anyone know how to take care of this problem ?
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble cleaning your Orthopedic Bed. I might suggest spraying a mixture of vinegar and water on the foam itself to deodorize it and then let it air dry. We have had a lot of customers do this to remove strong odors on their dog beds without using harsh chemicals. You can also spot clean this foam insert like you would with a carpet with a carpet cleaner. The memory foam is not waterproof so you won't want it to get too wet
If my dog has a potty accident, is the pad waterproof?
Hey! Our Orthopedic Bed is not waterproof. If you are looking for something waterproof, we recommend taking a look at our Performance Pad. https://gunner.com/products/performance-kennel-pad?variant=27709020635208
