It starts at the base. A non-skid 900D TPU bottom keeps the bed locked in place — no shifting, no bunching, no adjusting in the dark before a 4am drive. The durable Oxford top fabric is built for claws, movement, and the kind of repeat use that destroys lesser beds. Backed by a water and tear-resistant finish, it's ready for whatever your dog brings into the kennel.

Care

Cleaning Instructions:

  • Disassembles and reassembles in seconds with thoughtful construction, abrasion-tested materials & dual heavy-duty zippers.
  • Cover: Spot clean first. If you need a more thorough clean, machine wash on cold in a gentle cycle. Air dry strongly suggested, but can be tumble dried (on low!) if in a pinch.
  • Core: Simply hose off and let air dry.

Good To Know:
The Long Haul Bed is made with durable Oxford top fabric built for claws, movement, and repeat use and a non-skid 900D TPU base, but nothing is 100% "chew proof." This product may not be suitable for dogs who chew, those with anxiety and/or teething puppies.

She gets the rest and recovery she needs, and you can instantly tell how durable the materials are. My only drawback isn't with the product itself, but with getting it here. Since I live in Puerto Rico, I had to ship the bed to a family member’s house in Florida first, and then arrange to have it brought over to the island. Navigating that extra step was both complicated and expensive. I eagerly look forward to the day Gunner offers direct shipping to Puerto Rico! "Ordered small size bed. The bed itself seems like it would be fine, however it arrived with a large dent on one side of the inner material. A replacement was sent which arrived with a slightly different, but definitely noticeable dent. This does not necessarily affect the comfort of the bed for the dog, but for over $100 these should not arrive already looking beat up."

"I have been running the performance pad and the ortho pad intermittently, depending on whether we were traveling or running events with the dogs, etc. While they both worked great sometimes it was a hassle to have both of the beds or I would stack the ortho bed on top of the performance pad until we got where we’re going. Having the ability of a comfortable bed like the ortho pad, but also the ability of all purpose with being waterproof, etc. it makes play and work go hand-in-hand. Definitely the best bed for the Gunner kennels on the market."

Longhaul Bed

"I bought this for my 7 year old lab to replace the orthopedic pad. The first time we I used it was on a dove hunting trip to south Texas and a work trip to north Texas after the hunt. In total we drove 975 miles this week. My lab Honey loves it. There were times where she liked it so much, she just didn't want to come out of the kennel. We also tested out getting it wet by swimming in the Frio river. Unlike the orthopedic bed that smells for a week after it gets wet, the longhaul bed does not get smelly when wet. I would highly recommend."
