CRASH TESTED STRAPS

Crash testing was a critical part of our R&D and impacted the kennel's final design. We went back to the drawing board several times to get it right. This included our strap system. In that testing, we were also making sure our Tie-Down Strap Kit passed muster. These are CPS certified and 5 Star Crash Tested.

Hedging my Bet for BlackJACK

"I'm very pleased with the G1 Kennel in black. It's tie downed with the Gunner straps. I attached the Gunner Fan Kit to the side of the kennel nearest a plug so that it can be easily charged and used at the same time during travel. I've only used the Gunner Performance Pad so far for day trips. I have the Gunner Orthopedic Pad for use on future overnight trips. BlackJack, aka JACK, seems to be comfortable in the kennel, and he's not a great fan of kennels. I also have the black Gunner Food Storage Crate in 30, along with the black Food Scoop, and two red Bowls with lids. I use the Food Storage, Food Scoop, and Bowls with lids for home and travel."

Q&A

This will be installed in the car's back seat. The instructions say to secure the straps to the seat bench anchor. I'm not sure where that is.
Hey! This is going to be the same anchor that you would attach a car seat too. If you are still unable to find them, we recommend reaching out a local dealership and they should be able to tell you the exact location.
I am going to order an intermediate kennel and place in the where the folded rear (second row) double seat of my 4Runner is. I assume I need to anchor it with the anchor hooks in my cargo hold.. would this set up need the combination tie down straps? Also there are maybe down points when you file down the rear seats, are those adequate to use as anchos for this setup? Thank you so much in advance
The Traditional or Combination tie down straps would work with your set up! We always recommend checking with your local dealership to confirm that those anchor points are crash rated.
Does this come with everything you need or do you need the connection strap kit as well?
Hey! If you are planning to connect two kennels together then you will need the connection strap kit. If you are only using one kennel, then this will have everything you need to secure the kennel.
What is the difference between the traditional and combination tie downs? Also, I plan on using for one kennel in my Ford F150. Is there a better choice for that truck bed
Hey! The traditional is a set of (4) Tie-Down Straps in 8 feet. The combination a set of (2) Tie-Down Straps in 8 feet + (2) Tie-Down Straps in 14 feet. It will ultimately depend on your set up which is better. Most of our customer will use the traditional straps. If you have an extended bedd or want to put the kennel in a corner of the bed, we would recommend the combination straps.
