Joining the Cause: 1% Pledge Company

A look into our dedication to giving back to our community.

Joining the Cause: 1% Pledge Company

As a company, we’ve always been passionate about giving back to our community, but this year we’ve made it official. As of 2022, GUNNER is officially a Pledge 1% company, meaning we’re committed to giving 1% of our profits, products, and time to our local Nashville community and non-profit organizations that we believe align with our vision of making the world a better place.

We’re excited to continue working with non-profits throughout the year, and we’d love for you to join us in supporting their efforts by volunteering, following them on social media, or donating $1 to these organizations at checkout. Check out GUNNER Gives to learn more about our donation efforts and the organizations we partner with.

Who Are We Supporting?

When we sat down to discuss giving back to our community, there were three main causes we were most passionate about: service dogs & rescues, canine cancer, and outdoors & conservation. Here are a few ways we donated our products, profits, and time over the past year to some of those causes:

Donating Product

Nashville non-profit Retrieving Independence helps rehabilitate inmates through their service dog training, and gives people with disabilities greater independence through working K9s. When we learned about their efforts, it only felt right to outfit their van with GUNNER Kennels and accessories to make their day-to-day travel safer and more efficient.

Donating Profits

Last year, we donated a portion of the proceeds from the Los Banos Flyaway Series collection sales to California Ducks Unlimited. The GUNNER Match Campaign also allows us to support various organizations throughout the year. When you donate $1 at checkout, we match that $1 gift – just look for the prompt at the bottom of your cart.

Donating Time

This past winter, a few GUNNER team members and their families partnered with Dr. Osborne to help with winter waterfowl banding efforts. The research from these banding efforts help wildlife professionals set seasons and ensure healthy duck populations for the future.
