Our Waterfowl Vest is designed to help your dog regulate temperature through the full rhythm of the hunt, from the first retrieve to the last rest. In testing, our engineers found that GUNNER’s 5-Layer Performance System™ helped dogs retain internal warmth longer and returned them to a stable temperature faster. The result: quicker recovery, less energy loss, and lasting comfort in any condition. With an over-the-head entry, quick-attach G-hooks, and a six-point adjustment system, it’s the least frustrating vest for you to use and the most comfortable vest for your dog. No struggling with zippers, no wrestling a stiff neoprene shell: just set, secure, and send. Perforation channels, built-in drainage paths, and a breathable TPU shell accelerate drying and prevent water buildup – a major upgrade from traditional neoprene vests. In field testing across coastal Maine and flooded Arkansas timber, dogs came out of 12-hour hunts with their chests bone dry and warm.

To clean:
Rinse with fresh water after each use. Use mild soap and soft brush as needed. Hang to air-dry fully before storage.

To maintain:
Store in a dry, ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or use harsh solvents.

Fit Adjustments: Six adjustment points for a dialed, secure fit across chest and shoulders. Once adjusted, use “set it/forget it” straps for consistent performance. Designed to clear most e-collars comfortably. For ideal fit, follow the two-finger rule around the neck.

Adjust the left and right shoulder straps to a length that provides a snug fit around the dog's neck. For best performance, keep the strap length even on both sides. Slide the vest over the dog's head. To secure the underside, start by pulling up the right and left foreleg hooks one at a time, inserting them into the webbing loop that provides a snug fit around the dog’s chest. Finish securing the vest by pulling up the right and left hindleg hooks one at a time, inserting them into the webbing loop that provides a snug fit around the dog’s midsection.

Just a Tip #1: A proper fit should be tight to the point that it only two fingers should fit snugly between the vest and the dog. The G-hooks should be flush against the straps.

Just a Tip#2: Fore leg and hindleg hooks can be adjusted to different webbing levels to provide the best fit for your dog's shape.
