CRASH TESTED STRAPS

Crash testing was a critical part of our R&D and impacted the kennel's final design. We went back to the drawing board several times to get it right. This included our strap system. In that testing, we were also making sure our Tie-Down Strap Kit passed muster. These are CPS certified and 5 Star Crash Tested.

Reviews

Piece of mind going fir the long haul!

"Excellent of course. GSP just turned 6 months, and traing in high gear. With precious cargo on board, Gunner keeps us with piece of mind while we travel. Truly grateful, Thank You"

— Dawn W. (5/5)

Buckle up, buttercup!

"The tie-down straps are such a great addition to the G1! They keep the kennel securely in place and prevent it from sliding around while we’re traveling. They’re easy to use and give us an extra level of confidence that Honey’s crate is staying exactly where it should."

— Erin S. (5/5)

G. Dukes

"Gunner Kennels, I cannot say enough good things about you and your products. I have been a Gunner customer religiously for years now. Both of my labs are in a G1 large and they love them. They prefer to sleep in there with the doors wide open than on their beds LOL! My little brother recently got engaged in June and his engagement present to himself and his fiancé was a golden retriever puppy. My brother’s birthday was in August so I figured what better gift than his first G1 Intermediate?! He LOVES it. Gunner once again went above and beyond and even wrote a letter to my brother and his fiancée congratulating them on their engagement and wishing him a happy birthday. These are the safest most durable kennels HANDS down and more than worth the money. Absolutely will forever recommend."

— Gilbert D. (5/5)

Just as Advertised

"The tie-down strap kit was a convenient addition to my kennel purchase. The orange color is a nice contrast."

— Salvador R. (5/5)

Good Tie Downs

"The tie downs are strong and the buckles easy to use. It looks like the will hold-up well for years to come."

— Mary F. (5/5)

Strapped

"Strong . Simple. High quality materials. Nothing else needed."

— Craig L. (5/5)

"Keep the kennels still but I have to tighten them every few days. Seems like every bump loosens them a bit."

— Jade (3/5)

All top quality, highly recommend.

Everything in my order from

"Everything in my order from Gunner was great. I ordered the limited edition Ducks Unlimited color way in an intermediate and the tie down straps. Everything is solid and my GSP loves it. The only thing I am disappointed with is myself for waiting so long to purchase a gunner kennel."

— Joseph S. (5/5)

Q&A

This will be installed in the car's back seat. The instructions say to secure the straps to the seat bench anchor. I'm not sure where that is.
Hey! This is going to be the same anchor that you would attach a car seat too. If you are still unable to find them, we recommend reaching out a local dealership and they should be able to tell you the exact location.
I am going to order an intermediate kennel and place in the where the folded rear (second row) double seat of my 4Runner is. I assume I need to anchor it with the anchor hooks in my cargo hold.. would this set up need the combination tie down straps? Also there are maybe down points when you file down the rear seats, are those adequate to use as anchos for this setup? Thank you so much in advance
The Traditional or Combination tie down straps would work with your set up! We always recommend checking with your local dealership to confirm that those anchor points are crash rated.
Does this come with everything you need or do you need the connection strap kit as well?
Hey! If you are planning to connect two kennels together then you will need the connection strap kit. If you are only using one kennel, then this will have everything you need to secure the kennel.
What is the difference between the traditional and combination tie downs? Also, I plan on using for one kennel in my Ford F150. Is there a better choice for that truck bed
Hey! The traditional is a set of (4) Tie-Down Straps in 8 feet. The combination a set of (2) Tie-Down Straps in 8 feet + (2) Tie-Down Straps in 14 feet. It will ultimately depend on your set up which is better. Most of our customer will use the traditional straps. If you have an extended bedd or want to put the kennel in a corner of the bed, we would recommend the combination straps.
How wide are the straps?
Thanks for reaching out! The straps are 1 1/2 inches wide
