Crafted with DuraTrieve™ – a proprietary rubber compound designed by GUNNER – this Bumper is built to last and ensures reliability. In addition to longevity, the performance material was constructed for ideal weight and floatability in water.

Thanks to the bumper's material composition, cleaning is a breeze as it resists dirt accumulation, dries quickly and doesn’t easily absorb water – which can often lead to these type of product’s mildewing. Not with GUNNER. Simply scrub with soap and water to clean.

BODY DESIGN
Man's Best Bumper™️ features a tapered body design that trains dogs to grasp in the middle of the target, promoting proper hold positioning during training and encouraging your dog's natural instinct for a secure grip. The vented design with strategically placed breathability channels ensures maximum airflow, keeping your dog more comfortable during intense training sessions.

Prepare your gundog, working K9 or sport dog for scent-related work: the GUNNER Bumper boasts a removable cap with an interior cavity. Introduce bird wings, feathers, or other scented items by utilizing the hollow body component. Enhance your dog's scent detecting abilities and prep them for real-world applications, and remove frustration for you: No more taping feathers on before every session.

Choose from three distinct colors in Man’s Best Bumper™️ to suit your preferences and training requirements:

The Orange option mimics blind retrieves due to its low visibility for the dog and high visibility for the trainer. Also works well for scent work, as it helps dogs learn to trust the scent rather than looking for color.

The White option ensures optimal visibility for low-light landmarks, which can be particularly beneficial for beginners or those with young dogs. White is usually the most popular option, and it’s also good for pile work.

For enhanced visibility in all backgrounds, opt for the Flasher. The black and white combination is good to have on hand when training in different environments, as it gives a mark for all scenarios.

BODY WEIGHT
.58 lbs: Weighted for accurate throws and resistance to wind impact, the GUNNER Bumper allows you to train with precision. Add more weight when preferred by adding objects to the interior cavity.

ROPE MATERIAL
Thermoplastic Rubber offers a slight stretch and give without compromising on durability, allowing for more controlled movements during training exercises.

ROPE DESIGN
The removable (and replaceable) rubber throw rope can be adjusted in length or removed completely to assist with various training methods, including pile work, dock diving, and working with young dogs. Its length can also be easily modified to suit your training needs and the thermoplastic rubber construction offers a slight stretch and give without compromising on durability, allowing for more controlled movements during training exercises.

The hex design at the end of the rope gives the trainer two grip positions, and the opening at the knob facilitates easier carrying and bulk transport.

Q&A

After you put the plug in, are you supposed to turn the plug a quarter turn so that the vertical rib no longer lines up with the vertical groove, or do they stay lined up and the 3 ribs just hold the plug in place?
Hey! You do not need to turn the cap. As long as you feel it click into those 3 ribs, you are good.
Is there an easier way to open the end of it?
Hey! You can use the end of a flat head screw driver to pop the cap off.
Will you be designing the bumper in smaller sizes? For example, for small dogs, young dogs, or scent tracking?
Our bumper was created to work for all dog types- big and small! The tapered design will allow them to grip the bumper in the middle every time and the interior cavity is great to use for scent training.
