My husband, Joel, is my Hero. My mentor is Greg Gersbach, who has taught me everything I know about dog training.

FAVORITE SPECIES TO HUNT WITH YOUR DOG? FAVORITE SPOT FOR THAT?

I love hunting ducks with our lab, Mo – probably because I didn’t grow up hunting and to see him out there still blows my mind.

FAVORITE HUNTING STORY WITH A DOG?

The first time I took a dog duck hunting was Greg’s dog, about six years ago. One of the people we were hunting with just obliterated a duck and when the pieces of the duck hit the water, I didn’t know if I should send the dog or not! I ended up sending the dog and he brought back a blown-up bird.

WHERE DOES YOUR PASSION FOR DOGS ORIGINATE?

My dad! Growing up, we always had a dog – I actually don’t think we ever had less than three at a time...

IF YOU COULD BE ANY DOG BREED (BESIDES THE ONE YOU OWN), WHICH WOULD IT BE?

Probably a Vizla, because the ones that I’ve trained have been very loving, very well-tempered, athletic and great in training!

WHY GUNNER?

My husband first told me about them, and once I watched the crash testing video on their website, I was hooked. I own the G1™ Small, Intermediate and Large sizes and I can't live without any of them. I feel such at peace when my client dogs are in them.
