Connor is an outdoor photographer who farms and ranches on my family operation in North Dakota. He spends his free time with his dog, Kai, waterfowl hunting. He was a judge for our 2019 Gunner Effect contest and winner of the 2018 contest.
Kai. I didn't grow up with dogs so this was a big step for myself and it’s been a fun ride with her.
Mallard ducks. Anywhere I can hunt with her is my favorite – either here at home in North Dakota or with good friends in Oklahoma.
My love for hunting. I was just terrified of dogs when I was younger. As I grew up, my passion for hunting led to my love for labs and hunting dogs in general.
Probably my first time hunting with Kai. We were hunting early season resident geese in North Dakota and she was a petite 16-month-old pup trying to carry back large Canada geese. It was amusing and rewarding all at the same time.
My father. Outside of hunting, he’s taught me how to work hard and strive to be the best I can. He also introduced me to deer hunting at a young age, which eventually led to me pursuing waterfowl hunting.
From Mississippi to North Dakota.
Belgian Malinois. They’re a badass protection dog and absolutely gorgeous.
