Each Gunner Kennels G1™ crate boasts exclusive features that demonstrate we engineered this product with safety as the top priority, and we believe several factors contributed in earning this CPS Certified distinction – including our double-wall rotomolded construction, a lockable paddle-latch door, designated tie-down pins for anchoring, skid-resistant rubber feet, super-strong carry handles, a wider base to prevent rollover, all stainless-steel components, and more.
CPS is leading the first scientific approach for pet product safety measures through this Pet Travel Crate Crash Test Protocol and Rating System – which outlines a consistent test methodology to ensure that crates and carriers offer protection in case of an accident.

In the coming year, Gunner Kennels plans to submit additional G1™ sizes to the CPS testing program, for their own official crash tested certification.
Launched in 2016, the CPS Pet Travel Crate Crash Test Protocol and Rating System outlines a consistent test methodology and evaluation protocol to ensure that crates and carriers offer crash protection. The certification program is a result of the 2015 Crate Crashworthiness Study conducted by Center for Pet Safety and sponsored by Subaru of America.
